AbaCares Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide care and support to individuals with physical or mental disabilities or other medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management
- Accompany clients on errands, appointments, and social outings
- Help clients with light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Monitor clients' physical and mental health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
