Nurse Coordinator for Value Analysis

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse Value Analysis Coordinator collaborates with Value Analysis Teams and Supply Chain to create a strategic work plan aimed at achieving designated savings targets. This role is pivotal in identifying, selecting, and prioritizing opportunities for system-wide enhancements related to Value Analysis standardization and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitation of Value Analysis Teams: Lead Value Analysis Teams (VAT) to effectively manage projects across the healthcare system.
- Vendor Engagement: Meet with vendors and departments to assess both new and existing products, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Quality Patient Care: Uphold high standards of patient care through effective management of healthcare products and identification of standardization opportunities.
- Support for Supply Chain Management: Assist SCM Specialists during product trials and conversions, and support SCM Buyers in backorder situations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Licensure: Must be a licensed RN in Georgia.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of hospital experience, ideally with perioperative exposure and familiarity with Value Analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensure: Additional certifications are advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Proven project management capabilities and mentorship skills.
- Strong leadership qualities in change management and team development.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, particularly Lawson.
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance for hospital supplies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Core Responsibilities
- Value Analysis: Set goals for teams, track progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Product Management: Collaborate with Supply Chain to find equivalent products during backorders and ensure clinical staff are informed.
- Clinical Liaison: Address clinical concerns regarding disposable products and facilitate solutions.
- Vendor Compliance: Maintain communication with vendors and monitor compliance with system policies.
- Standardization Initiatives: Evaluate and promote standardization across the healthcare system.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
