Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Patient Service Representative. As a key member of our front-line staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and service, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a welcoming presence at all entrances, greeting patients, families, and guests, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Seek to understand the needs of internal and external customers, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff, performing other duties as required to provide fast and friendly hospitality.
- Respond to patient inquiries for information, providing directions to various facilities and services.
- Keep current on UT Southwestern campus information to answer phones, respond to requests, and provide appropriate information.
- Respectfully interact with emotionally ill patients and family members.
- Work with Lead Patient Services Representatives to solve specific problems and ensure successful business operations.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and follow policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance with electronic and in-person patient check-in.
- Communicate changes effectively and prepare those affected by change.
- Listen, apologize, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems.
- High school graduation or GED.
- Six months of customer service experience required.
- Incumbent must obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
