Role:

The HVAC Installation Specialist is tasked with the setup of new light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems along with their associated controls. This individual organizes tasks assigned by the Manager, keeps meticulous records of all activities, and effectively communicates work progress to relevant parties. Additionally, this role includes the responsibility of maintaining a fully equipped service vehicle, which is taken home overnight. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position.

Min Compensation USD $25.00/Hr. Max Compensation USD $40.00/Hr. Responsibilities
  • Operating company vehicles for travel to and from home, branch office, and job sites.
  • Coordinating and communicating tasks with team members.
  • Interfacing with city officials, crane operators, other contractors, job site customer representatives, and property managers regarding work status.
  • Maintaining complete, accurate, and timely records to keep the branch office informed of work progress.
  • Organizing physical plans, documentation, and files related to work.
  • Adhering to all service protocols required by customers, including IVR check-in, backup documentation, and photographic evidence of work.
  • Monitoring and enhancing job safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Following all standards, policies, and procedures established by Nextech management.
  • Participating in training and evaluation programs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EPA Certification is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in English speaking and writing is required. A minimum of 2 years' experience as an HVACR Assistant Installer, or Commercial Refrigeration Installer, or equivalent is necessary.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize technology tools including smartphones, laptops, tablets, and software is required.
  • Capability to engage in light to moderate physical activity for an 8-hour duration in outdoor environments with exposure to various weather conditions is essential.
  • Ability to perform more strenuous physical tasks, including extended overhead work, crawling, and working in confined spaces, as well as lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Knowledge of installation practices and codes for small refrigeration equipment, walk-in boxes, ice machines, soda/fountain machines, rack systems, and multiple compressor installations.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation and a successful track record in previous roles and responsibilities.
  • Ability to multitask and seek supervisors' approval for questions or concerns.
  • Must exhibit integrity, reliability, and the ability to comprehend and act on guidance from managers/supervisors.
