Key Responsibilities

As an Accounting Specialist, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing accounts payable and processing check requests
  • Handling payroll operations via ADP Workforce Now
  • Investigating invoices and resolving vendor discrepancies
  • Ensuring expenses align with contractual and budgetary guidelines
  • Assisting in the management of accounts receivable
  • Overseeing intercompany billing and transfers
  • Conducting general ledger account reconciliations
  • Supporting loan reporting activities
  • Facilitating month-end adjusting entries
  • Analyzing financial data for insights and potential issues
  • Performing additional related tasks as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
  • Comfortable utilizing technology
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to assist with general office tasks

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Two to five years of relevant experience is required

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll processing
  • Familiarity with sales tax regulations
  • Background in hospitality accounting is advantageous
  • College degree or coursework in accounting is preferred
  • QuickBooks Online Certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • Infrequent travel to various hotel locations may be necessary
