The Fund Accountant will play a crucial role in managing portfolio and partnership fund accounting across various funds and the firm as a whole. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to realizing the firm's vision and enhancing its operations. To excel in this role, candidates must be exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and capable of meeting deadlines while possessing top-tier communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books and records for multiple entities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with supporting schedules
- Record monthly journal entries and conduct bank reconciliations
- Facilitate and complete monthly closing procedures
- Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure accurate monthly recording
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with bank covenants
- Support financial and tax audits
- Contribute to tax administration
- Experience in Accounting/Finance, particularly in Portfolio/Fund Accounting, with a preference for backgrounds in private equity, hedge fund management, fund administration, or public accounting
- A solid grasp of accounting principles and practices
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- A strong academic background with a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
