The Behavioral Intervention Specialist is responsible for designing tailored behavioral strategies utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) to effectively manage challenging behaviors exhibited by individuals.

This role also emphasizes the development and reinforcement of adaptive life skills, ultimately fostering greater self-sufficiency among individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized 1:1 support to individuals.
  • Conduct a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and formulate a customized Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) within a specified timeframe.
  • Assist individuals in cultivating adaptive behaviors that serve as alternatives to disruptive or harmful actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to Direct Support Professionals in executing the strategies outlined in the BSP.
  • Complete necessary training tailored to the unique needs of individuals.
  • Regularly review and update the FBA, BSP, and Comprehensive Intervention Plan (CIP) as required.
  • Adhere to all organizational policy guidelines.
