Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol Campus Facilities: Conduct regular patrols of campus facilities to identify and address potential safety concerns.
  • Respond to Emergencies: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including incidents involving students, faculty, and staff.
  • Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, including accidents, injuries, and property damage.
  • Provide Escort Services: Provide escort services to students, faculty, and staff as needed, ensuring their safety and security.
  • Collaborate with Law Enforcement: Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment for our community.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including student and employee records.
  • Participate in Training: Participate in regular training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in areas such as crisis management, first aid, and emergency response.
Requirements
  • Education: Must be enrolled as a student at Southwest Tennessee Community College and have completed at least 12 credit hours of college-level coursework.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a safety or security role is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Certifications: Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check.
