Laborer - Construction Site Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at MasTec Industrial. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including operating heavy equipment, assisting craft workers, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate hand and power tools, including air hammers, earth tampers, and cement mixers
  • Assist craft workers with tasks such as digging, spreading, and leveling dirt and gravel
  • Clean and prepare sites for construction
  • Mix, pour, and place concrete, gravel, and other materials
  • Join, wrap, and seal sections of pipe
  • Perform routine, non-machine tasks such as removing forms from set concrete and filling expansion joints with caulking
  • General cleanup, demolition, and use of cutting torch and jackhammers
  • May be required to travel to different job sites on limited notice
Requirements
  • 0-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
