Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team at SunSource. As a key member of our hydraulic department, you will be responsible for evaluating, building, and testing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and repair hydraulic components, including cylinders, pumps, and motors.
  • Design and build test fixtures and test setups.
  • Conduct intercompany training sessions and provide hydraulic field service to off-site customers.
  • Coordinate workflow with the Production Manager and ensure safety rules and safe work practices are followed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year fluid power degree or formal training in industrial technology, mechanics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of hydraulic experience, including experience in designing and building test fixtures, crossing units, and assembling and testing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to motivate and direct people.
  • Physical dexterity to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 95-100% of the workday.
