Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance and Operations Assistant to join our team at Children's Institute. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and janitorial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our headquarters building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fixtures, furniture, and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
  • Janitorial Services: Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of the building, including floors, walls, and windows.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain and repair tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage supplies as needed to maintain a clean and well-stocked facility.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as spills and equipment malfunctions, to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Back-up Support: Serve as a back-up for the Operations Receiving Clerk, receiving shipments, validating contents, and logging data in the CII receiving database.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience: One year of carpentry, painting, plumbing, custodial, or related experience.
  • Skills: Possess a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance, preferred. Spanish/English bilingual preferred. Ability to handle confidential information.
