Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in managing the financial activities of the organization. Reporting to the Controller, this role demands a meticulous approach to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and adherence to accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record journal entries, actively engaging in the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Conduct reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Oversee the management of fixed assets.
  • Guarantee the precision of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Participate in both internal and external audits.
  • Handle property, sales, use, and franchise tax returns.
  • Reconcile daily credit card transactions.
  • Manage collection communications.
  • Support both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Process wire payments.
  • Consolidate and report showroom sales.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial and accounting reports as required.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Standards.
  • Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Experience with SAGE X3 financial applications is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Office setting conducive to focused work.

Compensation:

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience. This is an exempt position.
