Industrial Project Manager Job Description

McGough Construction is seeking an experienced Industrial Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of industrial construction projects, from pre-construction to post-construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project financials, including fee retention and client satisfaction
  • Oversee project success, including overall project management and client relationships
  • Mentor and coach Asst. Project Managers and Project Engineers
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals
  • Coordinate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success
Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in industrial construction project management
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including risk assessment and cost control
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Estimating and field experience
  • Scheduling experience
Work Environment:

Position involves sitting for extended periods while working at a computer terminal. Employee must be able to communicate effectively in a typical office environment with a standard level of office noise. Occasional standing, bending, walking, and lifting is also required. Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites, which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures.
