Job Title: Senior Tableau Data Engineer

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tableau Data Engineer to join our growing team responsible for building data pipelines. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines using Tableau Server.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Tableau Server
  • Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure new features or integrations are compatible with existing infrastructure
  • Provide support for IT issues related to Tableau software
  • Perform regular maintenance on workstations to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years of experience with Tableau Server, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau API's
  • At least 2 years of experience using database management tools (SQL)
  • At least 1 year of experience creating data visualizations using Tableau
  • At least 1 year of experience using relational database systems (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
  • At least 1 year of experience in software development using Python
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
  • 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • 3+ years experience with Distributed data and computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
  • 2+ year experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
  • 2+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra)
  • 2+ years of data warehousing experience (Redshift or Snowflake)
  • 3+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
