Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

FlexShopper is the largest online lease-to-own marketplace, offering an extensive selection of products from top brands. We provide a solution for individuals who don't have the cash or credit available, allowing them to rent-to-own products in 12 months or less through affordable weekly payments.

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our revenue growth team. The ideal candidate will lead development and optimization efforts for all marketing and revenue growth related data pipelines, integrating them into Looker Studio for advanced data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python/R and BigQuery.
  2. Elevate workflow efficiency and reliability, ensuring data validity, accuracy, and integrity across the steps.
  3. Craft sophisticated data augmentation processes tailored for complex analytics frameworks.
  4. Integrate customer data platform with various marketing platforms to enable omnichannel strategies.
  5. Automate data flow across disparate data bases and marketing platforms to enhance marketing team productivity.
  6. Utilize Looker Studio to build compelling dashboards and reports, creating a comprehensive alerting and anomaly detection framework for timely business user reaction.
  7. Transform complex data into actionable insights to improve marketing campaign performance and revenue growth initiatives.
  8. Collaborate closely with non-technical marketing roles to ensure data can be consumed and interpreted appropriately.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in data engineering, focusing on pipeline development and optimization, data augmentation, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R.
  • Familiarity with GCP/BigQuery/Looker Studio.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies, industry best practices, and advancements in GCP/Looker Studio.
  • Ability to work and communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that evaluates success based on both business impact and the volume/frequency of output.
  • Self-starter who is highly detail-oriented and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and ensure timelines are met.
  • Knowledge in e-commerce, DTC marketing, customer segmentation, and personalization a plus.
  • Experience with Twilio Segment and Google Analytics a plus.
