Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data products. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to develop new data products and features that drive insights and business value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses and data products to support business intelligence and analytics
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop new data products and features
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics
Requirements
  • Masters in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Deep understanding and prior experience with Spark
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Object-Oriented Python
  • Understanding of data warehouse table design, star schemas, etc.
  • Previous experience architecting and building data pipelines from 1st party and 3rd party data sources
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
  • Strong commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation
  • Experience using AWS cloud services (S3, Athena, EMR, Kinesis)
  • Experience with data pipeline technologies a plus (Airflow, Luigi)
  • Experience with Talend ETL or similar a plus
  • Experience with business intelligence tools a plus (Tableau, Qlik)
  • Experience with Databricks a plus
