We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at the Indian Health Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and serving as a technical expert in the specialty area of pediatrics.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Provide medical examinations, diagnostic tests, and analyze options for specialized care
- Make medical decisions based on professional knowledge, clinical skills, and prescribed policies and procedures
- Coordinate meetings with medical providers, staff, and stakeholders to develop and update patient care plans
- Complete narrative reports and produce statistical reports
- Use automated data systems to capture patient documentation and tracking
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from a recognized institution
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- At least 1 year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting
- Board Certification in the physician's specialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
