Job Summary

The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a highly qualified Supervisory Physician to lead our pediatric team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients, supervising a team of pediatricians and nurse practitioners, and ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Medical Care: Examine and diagnose patients, prescribe medications and therapies, and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Supervise Pediatric Team: Lead and mentor a team of pediatricians and nurse practitioners, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Develop and Implement Policies: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to improve patient care.
  • Monitor and Evaluate Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of the pediatric team, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with leadership to achieve and maintain certification by accrediting agencies, such as the Joint Commission and CMS.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of residency training in pediatrics or equivalent experience and training.
  • Licensure: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
  • Board Certification: Board certification in pediatrics by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
