Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger and portfolio aggregation systems for family entities, including individuals, trusts, foundations, and investment partnerships.
  • Investment Reconciliation: Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly investment transactions, investment accounts, and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Net Asset Value Calculation: Calculate and validate the net asset value (NAV) of investment partnerships, including tracking of partnership allocations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Responsible for accounts payables and associated recording of expenses, as well as recording and updating intercompany notes payables and receivables.
  • Customized Reporting: Assist in creating and maintaining customized weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the family, collaborating with the FO team to determine what information is most critical to the family and the best way to present it.
  • Family Investment Partnerships: Assist with family investment partnerships, including capital calls and partnership accounting.
  • Investment Subscription Documents: Assist with the completion of investment subscription documents, as they arise, for alternative investments.
  • Cash Management: Assist with cash management, including wire transfers.
  • External Coordination: Coordinate and interact with banks, financial institutions, and outside advisors.
  • Special Projects: Complete special projects, including financial planning and analysis.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting experience, with family office, fund administration, private wealth industry, or public accounting experience preferred.
  • Skills: Familiarity with partnership accounting and investments, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to function effectively in a dynamic fast-paced and fluid environment, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite products.
