Family Office Accountant

At NFI Industries, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Family Office Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger and portfolio aggregation systems for family entities, including individuals, trusts, foundations, and investment partnerships.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including cash reconciliations and general ledger closings.
- Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly investment transactions and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Calculate and validate the net asset value (NAV) of investment partnerships, including tracking of partnership allocations.
- Manage accounts payable and associated recording of expenses.
- Record and update intercompany notes payables and receivables.
- Assist in creating and maintaining customized financial reports for the family, including weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Collaborate with the family office team to determine the most critical information to present to the family.
- Assist with family investment partnerships, including capital calls and partnership accounting.
- Assist with the completion of investment subscription documents for alternative investments.
- Assist with maintaining alternative investment data and document management systems.
- Coordinate and interact with banks, financial institutions, and outside advisors.
- Complete special projects, including financial planning and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a family office, fund administration, private wealth industry, or public accounting setting.
- Familiarity with partnership accounting and investments is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work cooperatively with external service providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft suite products.
