AS A FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the store's sales floor, including floors, walls, baseboards, ceiling tiles, air vents, fitting rooms, touchpoints, and restrooms.
  • Ensuring the exterior of the store is clean, including windows, doors, cart corrals, and removal of debris.
  • Sanitizing and maintaining the checkout area, including daily removal of hangers and ensuring touchpoints are clean.
  • Cleaning and maintaining break room appliances, light fixtures, water fountains, and store fixtures.
  • Restocking essential supplies in restrooms, such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Keeping garbage containers clean and replacing bags as necessary.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, conducting minor repairs, and cleaning carpets and tiles.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and taking ownership of safety for both guests and associates in line with Bealls Inc. policies.
  • Monitoring the supply of cleaning and sanitizing products and communicating needs to management.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical capabilities to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Full body mobility is required, including bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
  • Capability to climb a 12-foot ladder for maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, brooms, mops, and dusters.
  • Full hand usage is necessary for operating hand tools.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
