Physical Therapist I

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for evaluating patient disabilities, planning, and administering physical therapy treatments. This is a professional level position that requires evidence-based practice and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Diagnostic Testing: Administer basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations to assess patient mobility and related impairments.
- Education: Teach and supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents, and develop innovative programs to enhance patient care.
- Evaluation of Care: Analyze diagnostic and therapeutic testing results to establish patient goals and modify treatment programs, identifying expected patient outcomes and communicating relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Implementation: Select and apply current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services, providing habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with mobility-related impairments.
- Outreach/Community Involvement: Serve as a resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals, presenting at local and state levels, participating in community health screening and events, and developing new clinical programs to meet emerging needs.
- Participation: Contribute to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services.
- Quality: Contribute to quality of clinical services through maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress, participating in quality improvement initiatives with the clinical specialist and other healthcare professionals.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
