About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team at Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will play a critical role in providing expert tax guidance to our clients and helping them achieve their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide direction and leadership to our tax team, helping to achieve results, build expertise, and inspire the next generation of tax leaders.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Tax Planning and Strategy: Work with clients and our wealth management teams to develop and implement tax strategies that align with their goals and values.
  • Project Management: Manage consulting and tax projects, including charitable giving calculations, private foundation minimum payouts, and other tax and financial planning projects.
  • Team Development: Commit to continuing education, team development, training, and mentoring new tax associates.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: 8+ years of tax experience in private or public accounting, or financial planning.
  • Certifications: CPA or EA required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Client-Centric Tax Consulting: Experience providing tax consulting to high-net-worth clients, partnerships, trusts, and closely held entities.
  • Technical Research: Strong research capabilities related to technical matters for complex tax needs and updates to regulations.
  • Tax Compliance Software: Mastery of various tax compliance software products (CCH or GOSystem preferred).
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Highly effective interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills in a high-energy culture to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Talent Development: Demonstrated talent development experience, training new staff, and mentoring interns.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
