Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and provide crisis intervention.
- Collaborate closely with staff psychologists and serve as a resource for clinic personnel regarding psychiatric care.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient interactions in the electronic medical records system.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing Nurse Practitioners.
- Facilitate educational sessions to enhance the skills of primary care professionals in managing mental health patients.
- Participate in the development of patient educational materials and conduct presentations for staff and trainees.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing or equivalent education and experience qualifying for a Nurse Practitioner License in Texas.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in mental health.
- Valid Texas Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses with prescriptive authority.
- Board certification in mental health and DEA registration.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
