Overview and ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary
We are in search of a committed District Manager for Medical Device Operations. This role entails overseeing the daily management of our operational activities. The individual will apply management strategies to ensure profitability, safeguard assets, and effectively communicate the company's vision and objectives to staff and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Occasional travel required.
- Responsible for the financial and operational success of the district.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, particularly in Clinical Programs.
- Confirm that staff competencies are met before independent task execution as per policy.
- Regularly update Active Referral Account reports and conduct semi-annual market analysis reviews.
- Timely communication of company policies and announcements to employees.
- Build and lead a customer service team, including representatives, technicians, clinicians, and support staff, focused on enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and relevant guidelines.
- Stay informed about current products and services offered by the company and applicable governmental regulations.
- Foster relationships with patients and referral sources.
- Perform duties of other personnel during their scheduled and unscheduled absences.
- Conduct interviews and hire staff as necessary, emphasizing the recruitment of qualified candidates.
- Keep management informed of significant district issues or concerns.
- Ensure high satisfaction levels among patients, referral sources, and employees.
- Maintain a professional and organized work environment.
- Update and manage all operational manuals and establish compliance evaluation processes.
- Ensure all staff adhere to the established guidelines.
- Ensure personnel receive necessary training for their assigned roles.
- Oversee billing processes, ensuring timely procurement of required documentation for reimbursement.
- Manage inventory levels and monitor company assets.
- Implement the company's growth strategy to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
- Conduct regular morning meetings and review action items consistently.
- Take necessary actions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and maintain clinical programs.
- Work with sales representatives to establish and maintain key referral relationships.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Employment Requirements
- Background check.
- Drug screening (if applicable).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field; or equivalent experience in DME/HME or home health.
- Preferred one to three years of supervisory experience.
- Required one to three years of experience in the home health sector.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in English communication, both oral and written.
- Ability to interpret various forms of communication.
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME).
- Familiarity with insurance policies and medical billing practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Responsive to customer needs.
- Understanding of business management principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen.
- Close vision required for detailed work.
- May require compliance with OSHA Respirator Requirements.
- Ability to lift and transport medical equipment as needed.
- Travel may be necessary for patient visits and meetings.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in email and internet navigation.
