As a suitable candidate, you will possess a keen business acumen and a track record of successfully managing personnel in the shipping and handling sector, as well as organizing delivery routes and possessing extensive product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the branch manager, team members, and suppliers to ensure accurate scheduling of orders, deliveries, and inventory management.
- Maintain operational activities within the established timeline and budget constraints.
- Monitor staffing needs and assist in the recruitment of new team members as necessary.
- Inspire, lead, and support your team effectively.
- Oversee timely data collection to update operational metrics aimed at achieving productivity goals, minimizing costs per unit, reducing errors, and providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in an operations management role.
- Capability to delegate tasks while retaining organizational oversight of branch operations and customer service.
- Familiarity with general business software and a willingness to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
