Pharmacy Technician Job Description

At Optum, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mental health and specialty pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
  • Fulfill prescription orders under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and store pharmacy supplies
  • Process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records
  • Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
  • Perform various clerical duties and communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Utah

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
