Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Genoa Healthcare, a leading pharmacy care services company. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
  • Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Utah.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (preferred).
