Job Summary:

The New School of San Francisco is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work closely with our assessment team to provide direct services to students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). You will also act as a consultant to our grade-level teams, providing input on students' speech and language development, short-term services, and direction on implementing an enriched language program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language services to students with IEPs, including assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring.
  • Screen and assess students who demonstrate potential need for speech/language intervention.
  • Update student progress as required by the IEP review process and school progress reporting periods.
  • Attend weekly collaboration and team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination with teachers and staff.
  • Possible case management to support students' needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Clear Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential.
  • California State License and Certification of Clinical Competence.
  • Part-time Clinical Fellow (CF) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) applicants with required professional experience or license may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven record of collaborating well on a team and building relationships with students and families.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Proficiency with Special Education Information System (SEIS) platform.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and tracking progress within the Individualized Education Program (IEP) framework.
  • Familiarity with Special Education state and federal guidelines that inform best practices in the field.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary reflects education degrees, years of experience, and special credentials, with a range of $60,000 - $110,000 or $40 - $100 hourly.
