We are pleased to announce an opportunity at Threadneedle Group for a Public Policy Liaison Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Public Policy team, which encompasses both state and federal government relations activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring state and local political, legislative, and regulatory developments that may influence the organization. Familiarity with legislative and regulatory tracking tools is highly desirable.
  • Prepare written updates for key stakeholders, including regular communications to internal business partners and external entities.
  • Coordinate the reporting of information and data to fulfill state and federal disclosure requirements related to public policy engagement.
  • Attend and manage coverage of hearings, industry meetings, and other relevant events as necessary.
  • Maintain grassroots and essential research and contact information to support engagement and lobbying initiatives.
  • Proficient in Excel, utilizing SharePoint, and creating and editing presentations in PowerPoint for both internal and external audiences, along with other software applications used in government affairs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent (2 years)
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience providing coverage across multiple jurisdictions is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences through various mediums
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in public policy research, tracking legislation, and understanding disclosure requirements related to lobbying and transparency
  • Ability to learn and utilize new tools and technologies.
