Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team in Lincoln, NE. As a Diesel Mechanic Specialist, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of all levels on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe for our customers.
- Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment with little or no supervision and in a timely manner.
- Repairing and troubleshooting components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials.
- Keeping your work area clean and safe.
- Using Penske's tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs.
- Learning new skills through Penske's technician training.
Why Penske?
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus shift premiums and excellent benefits, including lots of time off. Our technicians also receive strong, well-rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment and have access to advanced vehicle maintenance technology.
Requirements:
- 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials) preferred.
