Electrical and Instrumentation Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Designer to join our team at GIS. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing electrical and instrumentation design solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement electrical and instrumentation design packages for estimating and construction purposes.
- Estimate discipline hours and develop FEED packages for clients.
- Interface with clients, vendors, and project managers to ensure design solutions meet project requirements.
- Develop and check electrical and instrumentation packages, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and fabrication drawings.
- Understand and develop electrical and instrumentation design packages, including plan drawings, installation details, cable schedules, and one-lines.
- Coach and mentor entry-level designers and drafters to ensure design solutions meet project requirements.
- 5+ years of experience in project-based industrial design, with a focus on electrical and instrumentation design.
- Understanding of typical electrical and instrumentation design package and workflow required to complete design.
- Ability to obtain OSHA, TWIC, and site-specific safety training.
- Able to travel to worksite in and out of state, with less than 10% out-of-state travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD office suite tools and Bluebeam.
