At Brown & Root, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Instrument Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Instrumentation and Control Systems group, you will be responsible for designing and developing field instrumentation and control systems for petrochemical, midstream, and refining facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design and develop field instrumentation and control systems, including specifications, data sheets, purchase requisitions, and bid evaluations.
- Technical Leadership: Lead technical discussions and meetings with vendors and clients, and provide technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.
- Instrumentation and Control Systems: Develop instrument designs, calculations, and bills of material, and work with instrument engineers, automation engineers, technologists, designers, and others to provide instrument engineering and design deliverables.
- Quality Control: Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of the I C discipline.
- Project Coordination: Interface with project management, clients, and other disciplines to coordinate project work, and assist in preparation of cost estimates and defining scopes of work for instrumentation and control systems.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with project team members and clients, and build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers, and internal external service providers or contractors.
Requirements:
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in electrical/chemical engineering is required.
- 10+ years of experience.
- P.E. License is preferred.
