Job Title: Hematology Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking an experienced Hematology Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at the Dartmouth Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with established Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant clinicians, the Palliative Care Team, and the survivorship program to provide high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to individuals and their families from diagnosis through end-of-life, including identification and treatment of acute and late effects of therapy.
  • Perform procedures as required for patient assessment, including bone marrow biopsies and intrathecal chemotherapy.
  • Work closely with the clinic nurses and provider staff to coordinate care for patients under treatment and manage acute therapy side effects.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, faculty meetings, research, and quality improvement projects.
  • Actively participate in the Advanced Practice Provider team of the Dartmouth Cancer Center through attendance of monthly team meetings, journal club, biannual peer review process, and annual retreat.
  • Prepare for, participate in, and attend required conferences, meetings, and committees as requested.
  • Teaching opportunities, including academic appointment with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth at a level commensurate with experience.
  • Participate in clinical research, relevant to the hematology patient population, providing clinical care and follow-up assessments as required by protocol.
  • Participate in the education and professional development of fellows, residents, nurses, medical students, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • APRN Minimum Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
    • Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
    • Eligible for APRN licensure in the State of New Hampshire and State of Vermont.
    • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
  • Physician Assistant Minimum Qualifications:
    • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • NCCPA certification.
    • Eligible for PA license in the State of New Hampshire and State of Vermont.
    • Eligible for federal DEA registration.
