Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of maintenance, facility upkeep, and project execution within the casting plant.
  • Drive maintenance operations with a focus on eliminating recurring issues through personnel development and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports, including supervisors, maintenance technicians, trainees, and interns within the designated department.
  • Delegate tasks effectively within the maintenance department to optimize workflow.
  • Reduce production interruptions by establishing and adhering to a comprehensive preventative maintenance and inspection schedule.
  • Analyze machine breakdowns to identify root causes and recommend enhancements or new equipment to mitigate future issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure equipment functionality and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Innovate methods to enhance machinery and equipment efficiency, thereby lowering operational costs.
  • Represent the maintenance department in cross-functional meetings.
  • Foster relationships with leadership across departments to support the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources in the recruitment process and provide input on the performance and potential release of maintenance staff.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or completion of a trade/technical program.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical skill set is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize structured problem-solving methodologies for effective analysis and resolution.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
