About the Fleet Maintenance Manager Role
At Waste Management, we're looking for a skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee our fleet and maintenance activities in Sheboygan, WI. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring the maintenance of our diesel-powered trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a 6-bay maintenance shop and lead a team of 4 technicians to maintain a fleet of diesel-powered trucks.
- Oversee budgets, vendors, suppliers, and contractors in a maintenance setting.
- Ensure safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
- Conduct fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Ensure vehicle management systems are effectively utilized.
- Comply with and ensure adherence to Waste Management's Mission to Zero standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five years of relevant work experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
