Medical Laboratory Supervisor

About the RoleWe are seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team as a supervisor. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our patients receive accurate and timely test results.
Responsibilities- You will supervise different areas of the laboratory section, providing guidance and support to our technologists as needed.
- Under the direction of the Lab Manager and Lab Director, you will assist in achieving our goals of quality patient care, quality assurance, and cost effectiveness.
- You will be responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
- Maintain policies and procedures and keep team members informed regarding changes.
- Assist Lab Manager and Lab Director with interviewing, selecting, evaluating, counselling, motivating, disciplining, and recommending termination of laboratory employees as deemed necessary.
- Ensure that each staff member receives regular training and in-service training for the type and complexity of the laboratory services they provide.
This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory operations and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Requirements- You must be currently registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
- A BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program is required.
- Hospital laboratory experience is preferred but not necessary.
