Job Summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled general surgical pathologist to join our faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in anatomic pathology and a special interest in Head and Neck Pathology and/or Bone/Soft Tissue Pathology. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic academic environment and contribute to the department's research and teaching activities.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic services in general surgical pathology and cytology, as well as participating in teaching and research activities. They will work closely with other faculty members and residents to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the department's research initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence and a passion for teaching and mentoring.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a MD or equivalent degree, be board certified/eligible in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible to work in the United States. A strong background in general surgical pathology and cytopathology is essential, as well as a special interest in Head and Neck Pathology and/or Bone/Soft Tissue Pathology.
