Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development
    • Teach pre-vocational skills, including Job Exploration Counseling, Work-Based Learning, Workplace Readiness Training, Postsecondary Counseling, and Self-Advocacy.
    • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student group.
  • Program Coordination and Collaboration
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student participation and engagement.
    • Collaborate with schools, referral sources, and parent advisory groups to plan and implement the program.
  • Student Support and Progress Tracking
    • Track and document student progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports to program managers and stakeholders.
    • Assist students in setting and achieving their career and educational goals, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, education, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation, teaching, or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • High customer service orientation and youth-focused.
    • Excellent engagement and presentation skills.
    • Results-oriented with the ability to meet assigned deadlines.
    • Highly organized and accurate in completing work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education and Experience
    • Advanced degree or additional certifications in relevant fields are advantageous.
    • Previous experience with pre-vocational or career readiness programs.
