**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Supervisor to join our team at Outdoor Cap Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Lead Production Scheduling:** Oversee the production scheduling process to ensure timely and efficient production of products.
  • **Balance Production Capacity:** Analyze production capacity and make adjustments as needed to control costs and meet customer demands.
  • **Create Production Orders:** Develop and manage production orders, including creating rework orders and managing quality issues.
  • **Lead Weekly Production Meetings:** Facilitate weekly production meetings with the production team, promo team, retail sales team leadership, and other stakeholders to discuss production plans and address any issues.
  • **Analytical Skills:** Utilize analytical skills to identify production issues, data issues, or process issues and develop solutions to improve production efficiency.
  • **Liaison between Customer Support and Manufacturing:** Serve as a liaison between customer support and manufacturing to ensure that customer needs are met and production schedules are maintained.
  • **Process Improvement:** Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • **Create and Update SOPs:** Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the production team.
Requirements:
  • **Bachelor's Degree:** Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • **Experience:** Experience with MRP systems, materials management, production control, continuous improvement, logistics management, warehouse operations, and data analytics.
  • **MS Office Applications:** Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • **Language:** Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • **Color Vision:** Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • **Hearing and Communication:** Ability to hear and effectively communicate with peers.
  • **Stationary Position:** Ability to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day.
  • **Visual Acuity:** Close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • **Lifting:** Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout the day.
