Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated accounting specialist to support our Statutory Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries to support timely financial statements close and ensuring all activity recorded in line with Local GAAP. This includes assisting in the preparation of annual statutory filings, including core financial statements, supporting schedules, and footnote disclosures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and GL postings
  • Prepare various account reconciliations, schedules, exhibits, and summaries to support the general ledger balances
  • Prepare reconciliations between US GAAP and Local GAAP
  • Participate in the interim and annual audits for the Company
  • Provide support to all areas of the Accounting Department as needed
  • Perform other analysis and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Mix of Statutory Accounts preparation and audit experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet established time lines
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work with accounting software packages
  • Excel skills including working knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formulas, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with peers and senior management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Degree in Accounting
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to develop, organize, and complete large-scale projects, passion for continuous process improvements
  • Strong technical skills including proficiency in NetSuite
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
