Position Overview:
Paragon Energy Solutions is in search of an Electronics Technician I who will play a crucial role in our operations. This position involves the assembly of circuit boards and power supplies, along with conducting tests and inspections on a diverse range of electronic components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of various complex electronic components.
- Design, fabricate, and implement testing setups to fulfill specific testing requirements.
- Perform failure analysis on different components.
- Carry out fit, form, and function comparison analysis of replacement components.
- Ensure the dedication and qualification of commercially available components for safety-related applications in nuclear utilities.
- Utilize digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, wave generators, and other necessary testing equipment for assigned tasks.
- Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is required; an Associate degree in electronics is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in manufacturing testing is required (military experience is accepted).
- Effective communication skills across all organizational functions.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills, capable of writing legibly.
- Proficiency in SMT soldering.
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Adherence to safety procedures.
- Strong time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills, including file organization and email.
- Proficient math skills.
- Experience using meters, Variacs, power supplies, megger, hi-pot, oscilloscopes, soldering tools, calipers, and other related tools.
