Job Title: Assembly Technician with Chemical Assembly Experience Location: Ft. Worth, TX Payrate: $17.50/hr. on w2 without benefits Shift Timing: 1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pm (Mon-Fri) Job Description: As a key member of our production team, the Assembly Technician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling and testing a variety of moderately complex products to meet customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities: * Assemble and test products using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and test equipment * Review job requirements and ensure all necessary components are available * Count and size tubes for chemical cleaning * Buff, haze, or remove discoloration and chemically clean as required * Sleeve, box, and ensure proper paperwork is signed off and completed * Apply epoxy tape to assemblies and install inserts and rivets to brackets * Identify non-conformances and rework as instructed * Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and test specifications Secondary Responsibilities: * Participate in lean/continuous improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement * Assist in training less experienced team members * Maintain a clean and foreign object damage (FOD) free work area * Ensure all equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong mechanical reasoning and problem-solving skills * Ability to read and understand blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications * Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and computer skills * Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Typical Mental and Physical Demands: * Frequent movement around the plant to operate machinery * Regular attendance and ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others * May be required to move parts or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across the shop floor
