The ADHD Specialist plays a crucial role in achieving and surpassing quarterly and annual sales targets by formulating territory-specific sales strategies aimed at enhancing product utilization within their designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed sales objectives on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Utilize various resources, including call activities and speaker programs, to maximize business opportunities, while tracking their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
- Conduct market analysis to identify local dynamics and trends that could influence business outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive territory business plans aligned with both local and national objectives.
- Stay informed about the local and national payer access landscape to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Exhibit a deep understanding of the disease state, treatment methodologies, competition, and our product offerings to serve as a trusted resource for healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to eliminate barriers to access.
- Engage in industry events and conventions to foster relationships and enhance brand awareness.
- Employ a structured selling model to build a progressive call strategy that encourages customer commitment.
- Proactively address challenges and devise solutions that consider both customer needs and organizational implications.
Required Competencies:
- Establish ambitious goals for personal and team achievements, utilizing metrics to track progress and striving for continuous improvement.
- Leverage analytical tools to assess data, employing strategic thinking to create effective business and call plans.
- Ensure customer perspectives are central to business decisions, implementing service practices that meet the needs of both customers and the organization.
- Utilize effective communication styles to gain acceptance of products and services from clients.
- Maintain the organization's vision and values in decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with all standards and policies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- A minimum of three years in pharmaceutical sales or comparable life sciences sales experience is essential.
- Preferred experience includes two years in specialty sales, particularly in Neuroscience or Psychiatry, with a strong emphasis on ADHD or Pediatric Psychiatry.
- Proven account-based selling skills, including knowledge of strategies for local formulary success.
- Familiarity with the prior authorization process and experience collaborating with healthcare providers on market access support programs.
- Experience in launching new products and a track record of success in previous sales roles.
- A valid driver's license and insurability are required.
