Position Summary

The Field Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving profitable sales growth for our Augusta, GA location by establishing and nurturing robust customer relationships. A successful candidate will leverage their listening skills and technical knowledge to assess customer needs and deliver optimal product and service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers through various channels, including online research, cold-calling, referrals from existing clients, and participation in industry events.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Arc3's product offerings and services, ensuring customers can effectively utilize and maximize their benefits.
  • Communicate product details, pricing, and address customer inquiries.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer sites to assist in process improvements.
  • Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes.
  • Maintain accurate customer records.
  • Draft and submit sales contracts for orders.
  • Provide information on delivery schedules, service agreements, warranties, and other relevant product details.
  • Collaborate with team members to share insights on sales strategies and market trends.
  • Distribute promotional materials and product samples.
  • Promote service contracts for technical products.
  • Demonstrate the functionality of technical products.
  • Coordinate installation and testing of products and equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy in materials lists.
  • Consult with vendors and colleagues to resolve technical issues faced by customers.
  • Address customer complaints and facilitate swift resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift license provided by Arc3.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the industrial gases or welding supplies distribution sector, along with 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • Physical capability to stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to 75 lbs, and drive a vehicle.
  • Availability to work weekends on a rotational basis for emergency situations.
