Job Summary:

As a key member of the GeorgiaGov team, the Safety and Compliance Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with safety laws and regulations. This position will supervise, guide, and instruct subordinate staff, while also coordinating and performing inspections to ensure compliance with policy, procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and guide subordinate staff to ensure effective completion of work assignments.
  • Coordinate and perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations.
  • Interpret and administer regulatory issues, technical issues, and analytical data to document compliance with safety laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in state and other safety codes and regulations.
  • Perform training, data management, and review reports.
  • Provide guidance and consultation regarding fire safety inspections, facility safety, and other related activities.
  • Determine and initiate follow-up actions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and two years of related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED and four years of related experience.
  • One year of experience required at the lower level Safety & Compliance Spec 3 (RCP012) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Certification and/or licensure as required by the position.
