Position Overview:
This role is essential in ensuring that the cleanliness standards of various campus facilities are consistently upheld. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Residence Halls, Academic and Administrative Spaces, as well as Athletic Facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Housekeeping Duties (65%):
    Perform thorough cleaning and upkeep of restrooms, public areas, offices, classrooms, and lounges. This includes vacuuming, floor maintenance, and furniture polishing. Operate custodial equipment safely and securely, while also ensuring the immediate grounds are well-maintained.
  • Utility Support (20%):
    Assist with event setups and breakdowns, inspect work areas for cleanliness, and respond to urgent cleaning needs as they arise.
  • Equipment Maintenance (5%):
    Ensure custodial equipment is cleaned, organized, and maintained properly after use.
  • Snow and Ice Management (5%):
    During winter weather, maintain safe conditions in high-traffic areas by removing snow and ice.
  • Safety Compliance (5%):
    Adhere to all safety regulations and participate in training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. A valid driver's license is required. Previous experience in housekeeping or event support is advantageous.

Working Conditions:
This position may involve exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme weather, and requires physical stamina for lifting and moving objects. The ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others is essential.

Additional Requirements:
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available for emergency situations as needed. A positive attitude and respect for the diverse community of students and staff are crucial for success in this role.
