As a Senior Account Analyst focusing on Reinsurance Casualty Claims, you will oversee a portfolio of assumed reinsurance claims, primarily within the Professional Lines and General Liability sectors. Your experience, combined with our analytical tools, will enable you to critically assess our casualty claim exposures. Utilizing your leadership capabilities and claims expertise, you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, forge essential relationships, and ensure the delivery of superior customer service. You will take charge of significant matters related to claims management and account interactions.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Managing assumed reinsurance claims, both treaty and facultative, across a diverse range of Professional Liability and General Liability lines.
• Comprehending reinsurance agreements and evaluating incoming and existing claims to confirm coverage, assess exposure, establish reserves, consider additional case reserves, and authorize claim payments in line with our industry-leading service standards.
• Initiating and executing claim audits, which involve direct engagement with brokers and clients, and conducting thorough evaluations of our clients' operations and individual claim files. You will communicate the outcomes of claim audits to internal stakeholders promptly, including comprehensive written reports that are clear and analytically sound.
• Addressing the business requirements of Underwriters, Actuaries, and Senior Management to ensure we provide an exceptional customer service experience.
• Identifying, analyzing, and reporting on claim trends.
• Collaborating with the North America and other Regional Claims Departments, focusing on the identification of major loss exposures, loss trends, and delivering outstanding customer service.
You will report to a senior manager within the AXA XL Reinsurance North America Claims Department.
SHARE your talent
Required Skills and Abilities:
• 7-10 years of experience managing complex, high-value casualty claims, with a focus on General Casualty and/or Multiple Professional Liability lines (such as Public Company D&O, Private/Not-for-Profit D&O, E&O, Financial Products, Cyber, Medical Malpractice).
• Previous experience handling reinsurance claims and conducting reinsurance claim audits is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of claims best practices and experience in case analysis, reserve setting, and large loss reporting.
• Attention to financial detail, strong analytical and writing capabilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word, and familiarity with claims management systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in all interactions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to asking questions and exploring new ideas that enhance efficiency and continuous improvement, along with a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's Degree or industry designations such as Associates In Reinsurance (ARe), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), or a Juris Doctor (JD) are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to approximately 20% of the time.
