The Dwyer School of Health Sciences at Indiana University South Bend is seeking a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Sonography to join our faculty team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver online and on-campus didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction in the AS in Radiography and BS in Medical Imaging Technology programs.
- Collaborate with other regional Indiana University campuses to create a primary pathway for an ultrasound program to be housed at Indiana University South Bend.
- Develop and implement curriculum in sonography, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, promoting their academic success and professional development.
- Engage in scholarly activities, such as research, publication, and presentation, to contribute to the advancement of the field.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work, curriculum development, and accreditation efforts.
- Associate's degree in a relevant field.
- Qualified to teach sonography curriculum.
- Holds American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) current registration in Abdomen.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Holds American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) current registration in radiography.
- Additional sonography registries such as OB, Vascular Technology, Breast Sonography, Pediatric Sonography, Pediatric Echocardiography, Adult Echocardiography.
- Holds ARRT current registration in a post-primary sonography modality.
- Current or previous teaching experience in a medical imaging program.
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
