Responsibilities

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of laboratory procedures, including waived, moderate, and highly complex tests. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely results.


You will be responsible for:


  • Performing laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods
  • Ensuring the accuracy of patient results prior to releasing or reporting
  • Recognizing age-specific differences in expected results
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures
  • Supervising the work of medical technicians and laboratory assistants, if necessary

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • A Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from an accredited college
  • A valid CLINICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST (CLT) license from the State of Nevada, or eligibility to work while license is pending or provisional
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience, or willingness to work with a new graduate
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Flexibility to work any shift as needed
